?Free Fun – Tips to Finding Bridal Shower Games on the Internet

Planning games and activities for a bridal shower can be easy and inexpensive when you use the Internet to find information. There are numerous websites available to help a bridal shower hostess find free and easy to do games to fit into any bridal shower theme. Using the Internet is convenient and better yet, it is free!

When you are responsible for planning a bridal shower, consider using the Internet to help you with your plans. With a quick Internet search, it is possible to find hundreds of tips and ideas for games and activities. You can find games and activities to suit a girl’s only shower, a traditional bridal shower and even a co-ed shower that includes both men and women.

Before you start planning games and activities for the bridal shower, you will need to take some time to figure how many guests will be in attendance. Also, think about the type of guests that will attend. If you have a small group, you can plan on games and activities that take more time or have more involved rules. If are inviting a large group of guests, you might want to consider playing games that take less time and only need a handful of supplies. Next, think about who will attend the shower. It is easy to plan games for a variety of guests. If you are only inviting the bride’s closest friends, they might enjoy more “risky” games and activities. However, if you will have a mixed group of women, you might think about games that are not offensive. For co-ed showers, consider planning a few games that will help the men and women work together or those that pit the two against each other. Trivia games are great for co-ed showers.

Also, when you start planning games, you will need to think about the amount of room you have available. If you have limited space, you might not want to play games that need a lot of floor or table space. It will be more difficult for a large group to move around with games that require that. Look for games that can be done seated and with only paper and pencils.

Now that you have decided the basics of the bridal shower, you will need to come up with ideas for games and activities. It is not necessary to spend a lot of money when you are planning games. Most ideas that you will want to use are right there on the Internet. You can search websites for free and use game ideas for your next shower.

When you get ready to search for games, use a search engine website such as Yahoo! or Google. Both of these sites will help you pull up many ideas for bridal shower games. In the search engine box, you will type in what you are looking for. You might want to use a variety of keywords to find exactly what you are trying to find. For example, simply typing in “bridal shower” will result in hundreds of websites with information about bridal showers. There might be information about how to give showers, food to serve at bridal showers and bridal shower themes. It will take time to sort through those sites to find the games.

Try to be specific when you are using a search engine. If you type in “bridal shower games”, you will find that you have much more specific information that is available. You might get results from websites about party planning or bridal magazines. Better yet still, you can even be a little more specific in your search for free bridal shower games. If you are hosting a co-ed bridal shower, try typing in “co-ed bridal shower” or “co-ed shower”. The results will be websites that offer specific games that are suitable for showers with men and women in attendance. Also, by typing in “bridal shower activities”, you may get results other than games.

If you are planning a certain theme for your shower, try to type in the theme for game results. When you use the Internet, you can find fun and free games to use for bridal showers. You will appreciate saving the money and can spend those resources somewhere else, such as for food or decorations.

Sports Autographs

Sports has taken on a life of its own in our society, and those in the spotlight for them are in our awe. The status of these sports players makes the celebrities by their own rights. Some people have a certain team that they love or particular players on that team. Regardless, they want to get autographs from the players that they can cherish. Depending on the sport this may be possible after the game.

There are many different forms that sports autographs can be found on. Generally the uniforms they wear to play their game are the most wanted. This can be bats, balls, helmets, and jerseys. People love to have the actual items that were worn for practice sessions and the games.

Due to their popularity, many sports players offer their autographs as part of charity events. They have no problem signing particular items that will be sold to raise money. It is very interesting to discover how much these autographed items go for. If you are lucky enough to see a particular player out there in public from time to time you may be able to get their autograph without any charge.

Many of us don?t readily identify sports players locally though. For example you may only live a few hours from where a professional football or baseball team lives. You may not be able to recognize these guys when they are out shopping or they are enjoying a meal. In that regard, they get some privacy that other types of celebrities just don?t get.

It is hard to tell which sports players will end up with their autographs being worth money or not. Sadly, Shawn Taylor who was shot at home earlier in the NFL season didn?t make it. His autographed items are selling out there for a fortune right now as people know there won?t be anymore of it offered.

The cost of sports autographs varies depending on their demand. For rookies, they aren?t quite selling. If you can get your hands on some rookie autographs though before they become so well recognized you will save yourself a great deal of money. It is all a guessing game though so your choices should be based on who you really like.

Making Your Camping Trip A Vacation Rather Than Work
Steve Miers

When planning a camping trip, there are some things that you can pack or do before you leave for your trip that will help you to spend your vacation relaxing and having fun rather than cleaning your site, making trips to the local store to buy accessories or having to deal with something that your forgot because there isn’t a store around.

The first thing you should do is to make a check list of what you want to take with you on the trip. Aside from clothing and the basics there are some other things that can help to make your trip a success. Be sure to include waterproof matches because you never know when rain or some other type of liquid might get your supplies wet. Wet matches equal no fire and no fire can be a real problem. You can buy waterproof matches or you can waterproof your own by dipping them in paraffin wax.

Pack a survival kit with enough supplies for everyone on the trip and a few extra. Include band-aids, wet wipes and power bars. Sun screen and bug spray are essential for outdoor activities as well as citronella candles to help keep bugs away at night. Take along plastic bags to put wet things in or things you need to discard. It is also good to pack anything that you don’t want to get wet into plastic bags.

Pack a sweatshirt and pants even if it is the middle of summer. At night you will probably be glad that you have them and it will keep you from being miserable, shivering by the fire. Lay out your own clothing and clothing for everyone in the family to make sure that you have something for every day and pack it in your suitcase by outfit so that you can just grab your outfit and get dressed without having to dig through your suitcase. Take along a pop-up mesh container for your dirty clothes to keep them separate from the clean stuff.

Get to your campsite early so that you can set up your tent or camper and still have plenty of time to explore the area and know your surroundings before night time arrives. Keep food locked in a cooler or in the car to avoid animals and bugs getting into it. Remove dirty shoes and clothing before entering your tent or camper so that you don’t have to constantly sweep the floor. You will find this particularly helpful if you are camping at the beach. Take a small broom with you just in case your tent or camper floor does get dirty.

Bring along cards, other games and reading materials in case you encounter some rainy weather. There is nothing worse then sitting in your campsite in the rain with nothing to do. Some of your best camping memories might just be playing these games or relaxing with a book.

A battery free radio is good to check up on news or impending inclement weather. You should also have some sort of hand held radio to use in case of emergencies. Bring flashlights with extra batteries. Pack maps and travel brochures in your car and your suitcase or camper. If you lose or misplace one, you will have a backup waiting for you.

Set up your campsite and tent or camper so that you can get to things easily but you still have room to move around. Keep other things away from your sleeping bags and a clear path to the door to avoid bumping into things in the middle of the night on your way to the bathroom.

Experience is the best source for ideas of what can make your camping trip fun and worry free. Talk to others who camp to see if they have any ideas. If you go on a trip and think about something that you could really use, write it down, buy it as soon as you get home and pack it with your camping supplies so you will be ready to go on your next camping trip.

It doesn’t take a lot to help make your camping vacation fun and carefree. With a little pre-planning and some organization once you get to your site, you can avoid many mishaps or emergencies that could spoil your vacation.

Organize your Family to Become Better Organized

As you begin the process of organizing your household, you may ask yourself what the best way is to motivate your family members to become and stay actively involved in the process. Each family member is unique and so is their method for organizing and prioritizing. But if you approach it from a coaching standpoint, it is possible to motivate your family to get on the organizational bandwagon.

First of all, remember that your family will get involved in the process for their own reasons, not necessarily just to please you. Help each family member pinpoint their own motivations for wanting to get organized. Maybe they are feeling less productive in school or at work, or they never seem to have enough social time because their time

Each of us has a strong suit when it comes to being organized. Find that about each family member and emphasize it. Take the opportunity to share your organizational strengths and tips, and ask them to do the same. Offer praise, not criticism.

Organizing isn’t about getting rid of things at all. It is about identifying what’s important to you and giving those things a reliable, consistent home. Don’t try to force your family member to get rid of their things, but to prioritize which things holds the most importance and to focus their organizational goals around that.

Finally, being organized is about being responsible. If your child or family member has worked hard to get organized and stay organized, recognize this feat and reward it. Perhaps you can come up with a family reward such as a new croquet set for the backyard that everyone can play, or purchasing three or four new board games the family can play together. And remember, the best teacher for your family is you, so lead by example. Maintain your personal organization systems and consistently strive to improve and find new ways to keep on top of the clutter so chaos doesn’t overrun your life. They’ll learn by your example.

?Backwards Compatibility between the Xbox 360 and the Original Xbox

After months of speculation, gamers everywhere waited with bated breath to find out if the rumors were true: was Microsoft planning on making its new Xbox 360 backward compatible? That is, would potential owners of the new Xbox 360 video console system be able to play their old regular Xbox games on the new system? Finally, Microsoft confirmed the rumors after months of rumor and speculation. The new Xbox 360 would indeed have backward compatibility. At least 200 of the original popular Xbox titles would be available for play on the Xbox 360 video game console. All the top Xbox titles are supported by the newer Xbox 360 titles.

Some of these popular titles include the original Halo and Halo 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II, Grand Theft Auto: III, San Andreas, and Vice City, Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black. All of these represent some of the most popular titles from the original Xbox library, an all are backwards compatible with the Xbox 360 video game console. In total, approximately 212 original Xbox games are compatible with the new Xbox 360 video game system. Microsoft stated that more games would eventually become available.

Xbox Live fans also received good news from Microsoft. Microsoft also announced that all of the backward compatible games would also be available for play across different platforms. This means that Xbox 360 and Xbox titles can also be played over Xbox Live. What does this mean to Xbox fans? This means that both Xbox and Xbox 360 gamers can challenge each other across the fierce channel of Xbox Live. However, Xbox 360 will enjoy their games across a higher resolution, with bigger and more explosive graphics. But everyone will still be able to get their game on.

In order to make the Xbox 360 backwards compatible, gamers will be required to take a few simple steps. Unfortunately, gamers won’t be able to simply pop in a game and expect to play it on Xbox 360. In order to play an original Xbox video game title on an Xbox 360 video game console, you must take a few steps first. First, insert the Xbox current generation game into the next generation console (the Xbox 360) and hook it up to Xbox Live. The Xbox Live system will automatically check to see if your system is updated with the most current emulation software. If the system determines that your console does not have the latest emulation software, it will automatically download it. In order to complete the installation process, you will have to restart your Xbox 360 video game console and load the original Xbox game again.

But what if you can’t log onto Xbox Live? Can you still make your Xbox 360 video game console backwards compatible? The short answer is yes. Microsoft offers gamers two other options for making the Xbox 360 backwards compatible. The easiest solution is to log onto xbox.com and download the latest emulation software after you have downloaded the emulators, simply burn them onto a DC, insert the CD into your Xbox 360, and complete the automatic installation process. This process is pretty straightforward and easy to complete on your own if you have a blank CD handy. The second option is to request a CD from Microsoft on Xbox.com. The CD is free, but they do charge a nominal fee in order to mail it to you. When it arrives, pop the CD into your Xbox 360 and download and install the emulators onto your system. Japanese owners of the Xbox 360 catch a break: they get the CD for free and clear, with no nominal charge.

The Romance of Vegas

A trip to Las Vegas is an experience of its own. No matter what time of year you visit there will be some manner of climate that will be new in some way, shape, form, or fashion to those who are visiting. There will be some star in the night sky that seems a little less bright when compared to the glam and glitz that defined Las Vegas and what has become known as “The Strip”.

Your trip to Las Vegas will be no more or no less than you make it. The problem with gambling destinations such as this is that if you spend your entire allotment of funds in the first few hours you are in for a very long and quite boring and possibly hungry vacation. Self control is not what this particular city is famous for and yet it requires a great deal of self control in order to really win at the games that are most often played in this city.

From the bright and glittery nightlife full of dancing girls, flowing booze, and the eternal ringing of the slot machine, Las Vegas is a city that was quite literally built on broken dreams. If you do not realize this going in, the chances are rather great that you might learn the lesson the hard way. This is in no way whatsoever meant to discourage your from visiting or from taking the gamble in the casinos. That is after all the main attraction for a visit to this city. The warning is a friendly reminder that in all things moderation is not really all that terrible a thing. If you’re going to risk at all, at least wait till you’re getting ready to head out of town rather than doing it your first night in.

Las Vegas has a deeply interesting history to it, the kind of history that legends are made of. There have been Hollywood movies, a great deal of novels, hints, and innuendos and even more plain out speculation on some of the central characters that have come and gone during the process of building this glittering desert icon. Beneath the lights and the glitter lies a heart that built this oasis from the desert sand.

If you get the chance during your visit find out all you can about the history of this city. I think it will make the trip that much more meaningful to you and might romanticize your time in the city a little bit too. Plus, for your guys, the girls love a good story and if you can woo them with grand stories of Vegas lore, then perhaps you will find a little luck of your own during your visit.

Through the years Las Vegas has had both vocal critics and outright devotees, they’ve legalized prostitution, kept gaming alive and well where others had failed to do so and stood against and corrupted more local and national government officials than anyone might ever care to admit. If one had all the facts about this city and it’s oh so interesting history I would certainly love to read this tell all book.

Even more than the past, the presence of Las Vegas is raising many eyebrows across America in disdain while others look on with rapt attention. From the gambling and the dancing girls, the bright lights, the games, the gold, the glam, and the glitz there are people that love it with the equal intensity of those that hate it. I guess some things about Vegas will never change.

I would choose to visit Las Vegas over many American cities because its history isn’t painted as lily white. This is one city that lives in sins and relishes that fact about itself. While some may call it ‘Sin City’ I prefer to think of it as a city that is unburdened by the sins of its past. When you think about it, those that are simply passing through commit most of the sins of Vegas.

?Prove Ownership of your Swiped PSP with the MAC Address

The PlayStation Portable or PSP is a portable multi entertainment unit produced by Sony. It can support music, videos, photos, Internet, and video games using wireless technology. It is a small, handheld devise that can be taken anywhere.

The Sony PSP is immensely popular with consumers. Much like with all new and popular electronics with value the PSP is being stolen on a regular basis. Sony has designed a unique way to identify each of the PSPs in the case of a theft. Consumers can use the Mac address in the hardware of the unit to efficiently identify the PSP as their own if it is ever stolen. Using a MAC address as an identification tool is common practice in almost all electronics.

Every Sony PSP has its own unique MAC address that can be used to identify the property if it is ever stolen. The MAC address is a specific identifier and can be located on the system information screen of every PSP. The Mac address is a series of numbers and letters and is not printed anywhere (like the packaging box or manual). MAC addresses can be found on a wide variety of electronic devises in addition to the PSP and can always be used for identification purposes.

To locate the MAC address on the PSP you should first go to the System Settings and then navigate to System Information. This is where the unique MAC address is listed.

MAC stands for a Media Access Control in computer networking terms. A layer above the MAC address is a devices IP address. When the PSP is used wirelessly it is assigned an IP address until the user disconnects. Unlike the IP address the MAC address is actually in the unit’s hardware, and is always the same, and very difficult to hack into.

The PSP has a regular serial number as well. It is placed on a small sticker on the front edge of the devise. This sticker can be peeled off or defaced, making it useless in the case of a theft. For this reason, the MAC address is a much more reliable way to prove ownership of the portable entertainment unit if it is ever stolen.

The MAC address is used to connect to public networks. For this reason, the MAC address will not change unless the thief pries open the unit and hacks into the microchips, which is highly unlikely. Most thieves are either unaware of the MAC address all together or lack the capability of hacking in to alter it. Therefore; the MAC address is the most foolproof way to prove ownership of the PSP if it is ever stolen.

Experts agree that consumers should write down both the MAC address and serial number for their PSP’s immediately. If the electronic devise is ever stolen the owner should contact the local authorities and fill out a police report. They should advise the police that they have the identifying markers to the PSP. In the case that the PSP is recovered the authorities will be able to identify the unit and prove ownership using the serial number and MAC address.

Experts also warn that consumers should be wary of purchasing any PSP they fear might be stolen. Because the MAC address can easily be used to identify the stolen property the owner will be able to prove the unit is theirs without a problem. Thus the purchaser of the stolen property will be charged with the theft. Also keep in mind if you purchase a stolen PSP it may be password protected. Without the capability of circumventing the password, the PSP will be useless.

The devastation of data loss – and what you can do about it
Nick Carter

Almost everyone who uses a PC stores valuable data on the hard drive or other data storage device. Whether you use your PC for keeping personal accounts, contact details or important information or whether you are a business user and keep vital business information, contact details and company data on your PC the risk of data loss is a big risk and could prove very costly in the long run.

With true data loss, your only hope of recovery is a data backup, and without one there is no way back. If you have company data on your home PC, data that is vital to the operation of a company or the effective servicing of a customer data loss will inevitably lose you or your company money. It looks unprofessional, if you don?t have a backup and inevitably leads to the loss of not only money but clients as well. It can even land you in court facing a lawsuit.

What is data loss?

Data loss is the loss of data stored on your hard drive or other data storage device. It can occur because one or more of many different reasons and can be recoverable or, in the worst-case scenario, completely unrecoverable. It is a very real problem that we must try to combat in order to successfully run our business or maintain our home computers.

The most usual reasons for data loss are down to poor use and manufacturing defaults. While the latter may not be your own fault, there is little solace to be found in that when you lose the last 12 months of work from your hard drive.

Poor use or misuse of the hard drive.

Many modern hard drives are not only versatile but durable as well, however, this doesn?t completely alleviate the danger of data loss. Spilt liquids, vibration or collision can result in damage of the hard drive itself or even in one of the components of the hard drive. This will inevitably lead to some loss of data

Manufacturing defects of your hard drive.

Even the most careful of user may find they have problems with their hard drive, or any part of their PC for that matter. Sometimes we simply can?t avoid it. Statistically, 1 or 2 bad hard drives are found in hundreds of rigorously tested devices shipped by manufacturers. Defects in any part of your PC can manifest themselves immediately or they may only come to the fore after months and months of heavy usage. Either way, it is quite often possible to recover part or even all of the lost data.

What can be done?

In the first place, the above examples should emphasise the obvious fact that loss of data is a problem that can happen to anyone, no matter how knowledgeable or how careful you are. It is important that you do what you can to prevent fatal loss. Keeping backups of any important, irreplaceable data is something we should all do, but are quite often found not doing. Not having a backup copy of your data could be the biggest mistake you make.

However, even if you don?t have a backup and something happens to your storage device it may not be a complete loss. There are specialists who deal solely with the recovery of lost data and they can sometimes truly work miracles.

Use anti-virus software regularly and keep it updated as often as possible. Many viruses attack the hard drive and can be spread very quickly. Without a decent firewall and anti virus system in place this will invariably lead to a loss of data integrity.

Keep your storage devices as clean as possible. Also, be sure to avoid contact with the electric components with your bare hands. Keeping your storage devices cool will reduce the risk of magnetic burnout and may save you from a total loss of data.

Virtually all of us store important data on our hard drives, with the possible exception of people who use their PC only for playing games; even gamers would consider losing weeks of saved games as being something of a disaster. Even the most knowledgeable and careful of us will probably face data loss of some sort in our lives, and while it may not be our fault that a device becomes corrupt of was faulty when leaving the manufacturers, it is our fault if we haven?t stored the data elsewhere as a backup copy. Remember, accidents do happen, so we should always prepare for the worst.
