When you decide to go mountain biking on a long days
ride, there are several things that you should take
with you. Below, you’ll find the essentials that
you should have with you.

1. Back pack – a camelback or mule is a good idea here.
2. Waterproof – the type that packs down very small is
the best to have.
3. Water – you need at least 2 liters for a long ride.
4. Food – sandwiches and energy bars are the best to
have with you to eat.
5. Pump – take a good one with you, as the small mini
pumps are a waste of time and money.
6. Tire levers if you need them.
7. Two small inner tubes.
8. A piece of medium emery paper about 3 inches long
and an inch wide.
9. A cut up tube of Crest for pinch punctures or to use
as a tire boot.
10. A carpet needle.
11. A card of linen thread to repair torn tires.
12. A good chain splitter
13. At least two black pins. You should tape these
to the inside lid of your puncture repair kit.
14. A set of allen wrenches. The penknife style is
the best to get.
15. A small screwdriver.
16. A first aid kit that includes an elastic bandage.
17. A Spokey spoke key.
18. A felt tip pen that will show on inner tubes.
19. Some lunch and phone money.

If you take the above with you, you should have no
problems with long mountain bike rides. Everything on
the above list will serve a purpose, all you have to do
is give them a chance. If you’ve ever been mountain
biking and ran into problems in the past, you should
know first hand just how important the proper supplies
can actually be.

Paintball Gear

Having the proper paintball gear does not limit to paintball markers, hopper, tank and paintball mask alone. You should also consider having those little paintball gear stuffs that you think is not important. Extra safety paintball gear and equipments can mean a lot of difference between enjoying the day and not getting to play because of injury or defective equipments.
You should always bring your gun manual and gun schematics along whenever you go out to play. You will never know when you?re going to dismantle or disassemble your paintball markers. But remember that manuals and schematics are useless without those allen wrenches right? You must have one set handy available at all times.
Don?t forget to bring spare batteries with you. Don?t let small things like a dead battery ruin your fun in the battlefield. Neck guards are good protection from painful shots in the neck. Opt for a lightweight wrap around strap for comfort. Wearing thigh cups is also a good idea. You will never know where you?re going to be shot at with all the action in the field. Shin guards, gloves and elbow pads are also handy when it comes to running, dodging and crawling in the field. A little advice, don?t ever take chances when it comes to the eyes. Replace those cracked or scratched paintmask, even if they are only scratched because they were hit at close range. Always have an extra paintmask available.
So many paintball marker problems can easily be fixed like replacing the cupseal and o-rings. These are small but very important parts that easily break and can cause your paintball marker to malfunction. To have an efficient paintball marker you must always lubricate it every now and then. Bring a paintball marker oil always with you whenever playing. Also have an extra squeegee when you are out in the field. You will never know that you might need it to get rid of some substance that is stuck in your barrel.
Once you get to know your paintball gear, you will have some decent idea on what kind of paintball gear and equipment to bring along with you. Don?t forget the tweezers, pliers and screwdrivers. These tools are very essential in your paintball gear. Also don?t forget to bring along some bolts, screws, springs, Teflon and, yes, duct tape.
It would hurt if you also bring along some first aid kits. A lot of things happen on the paintball field. You might not able to use it, but hey, it pays to be ready.
The main idea is to be prepared and ready at all times because if ever something comes up or all problems break loose, you would be ready for it.

Not 100%PRCTG% organic – Calcium stearate

Calcium stearate is an organic product obtained from edible sources. Recently, the petition for the inclusion of calcium stearate as one of the substances used in processed products is underway in the National List of nonagricultural substances allowed in processed products labeled “organic” or “made with organic”. If you’re wondering about the composition of calcium stearate, it is a calcium compound consisting variable proportions of calcium stearate and calcium palmitate.

Calcium stearate was first used in 1924 as an anti-caking agent for bakery ingredients and dough conditioner. Calcium stearate comes in the form of a powder with white to yellowish white color. It is regulated in the FDA under Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). International regulations of calcium stearate include findings made by the International Agency for Research on Cancer does not distinguish this substance as a carcinogen. This product is also known as nontoxic; hence, any spillage to the environment of calcium stearate should not be cause for alarm.

However, this compound may cause some irritation when coming in contact with skin and eyes, when exhaled, and if powder is swallowed. Skin and eye irritation with calcium stearate may have the following symptoms: redness, itching, tearing, swelling, and pain. It is advised to flush the affected area with water and for 15 on the eyes. When inhaled, calcium stearate may cause irritation along the respiratory tract and symptoms could range from coughing, shortness of breath, runny nose, and sore throat. For first aid measures, respiratory assistance may be provided when necessary.

If calcium stearate is ingested, it can cause gastroenteritis with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, and diarrhea. A physician’s attention is immediately necessary because patients may experience ringing of ears, elevated blood pressure, dizziness, blurred vision, and tremors.

Calcium stearate is insoluble in water, cold alcohol, chloroform, ether, and acetone but slightly soluble in hot alcohol, hot mineral and vegetable oils, and quite soluble in hot pyridine. Due to its insolubility to most liquids under mild conditions, calcium stearate is ideal as stabilizer and lubricant for PVC resins, plastic tablets and molding powders, cements, emulsions, pencils, waterproofing NG base explosives, mortar admixtures, fabrics, and cement paints. It’s also effective for use in construction chemicals, and in cosmetics. Food grade form of calcium stearate may be used as an emulsifier, anti-dusting agent, flavoring agent, release agent, stabilizer, or thickening agent.

In the National List, calcium stearate should be in the list under synthetic. Investigators argue that this product should belong to the category “made with organic” because it is supposed to be 95%PRCTG% organic, and as far as labeling is concerned, the animal source from which calcium stearate is derived must be stated.

Oil Of Oregano And Infections.
Pieternel Van Giersbergen

I’d like to share with you a healing substance that can improve your life and the life of your friends in an extraordinary way. It’s a versatile herbal medicine that truly merits the name “a medicine chest in a bottle”. Whether you are traveling, at home or at your job, when you need first aid, pain relief, or natural anitibiotic action, this one product can truly “do it all”.

Why is Oil of Oregano so special? It is composed of pure olive oil infused with a concentration of oregano that is 85 %PRCTG% carvacrol, which is extremely antiseptic. Thymol is another antiseptic that works synergistically with carvacol, along with 50 other antiseptic and healing compounds. The result is an amazingly broad number of healing properties with applications throughout the body.

Oil of Oregano is a natural, broad-spectrum antibiotic. This means that even if you don’t know where an infection originates, the Oil of Oregano will find and attack it. Besides this it is anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-parasite and a remedy for yeast/candida overgrowth.

These wonderful properties make it effective in curing and relieving innumerable maladies, including:

Allergies, Arthritis, Backpain, Boils, Bruises, Congestion, Contusion, Cysts, Ear infection, Infections, Flu, Food poisoning, Fungus, Headaches, Muscle Pains, Otitis media, Parasites, Pneumonia, Sinusitis, Sprains UTI

For more detailed information on how to employ Oil of Oregano for these and more illnesses, visit www.pieternel.com. If you follow the guidelines there, I can guarantee the benefits to your near-term and also long-term health. Oil of Oregano offers a highly rewarding pathway to purification.

Oil of Oregano is a natural antibiotic that has no side effects. Pharmaceutical antibiotics have many side effects, such as diarrhea and weakening of the immune system. Research even tells us that after we follow 23 cycles of treatment with antibiotics, we have “earned” an increased risk of cancer. Makes you think? no?

Oil of Oregano can also cure insidious yeast infections and candida (which are, interestingly, yet another possible side effect of antibiotics). These stubborn conditions simply require a bit more understanding and a more prolonged approach.

If you think Oil of Oregano sounds like a miracle drug – excuse me, miracle herb – then you’ve got the point exactly.

Warmly, Pieternel van Giersbergen.

Prepare for a flood the best way you could

Believe it or not, floods are the natural disasters that is most common in America.
According to statistics, more than a hundred people are killed by floods every year. Also, more than four billion dollars are the cost damages caused by floods.

All this is according to the Red Cross of the United States.

The following are few tips and advice you could do in order to prepare yourself for any flood inevitability.

Expect the expected

It is important that you clearly understand and that you are aware of any damages that a flood could cause. Some of these inevitabilities include boulders that are rolling, trees that are ripped right out from the ground, buildings that are destroyed as well as bridges, sliding debris.

Do not be afraid to ask

It is also vital that you ask around your local zoning and planning office as to whether the property you are on is below the level of the flood or above it. Also, it is always good to know if the area you are in has had a history of being flooded.

This knowledge helps a lot in the preparation of activities and tasks to do in case if a flood does hit.

Familiarize yourself

In your own community, it is best that you familiarize yourself in any or all of the warning signals or signs whenever a flood does occur.

Learn, learn, learn

Know what are your community?s plan for evacuation. This helps you prepare yourself as well as your family and friends as on what to do as well as the step by step drill.

Have an insurance

It helps if you have insurance that is tailored particularly when a flood occurs. Believe it or not, the insurance usually associated with home owners will really not be able to reimburse any damages you may have that are caused by floods.

Keep all vital documents

These documents include any policies for insurance, passports, birth certificates, etc.
All these papers should ? as much as possible ? be kept in a box that is waterproof and one which could be accessed easily.

Move, move, move

If in case your fireplace, furnace, electricity panel or water heater is in the basement or 1st floor of your house, you could consider moving it up the attic.

In that way it will be a lot less probable for these to be damaged by raging floodwaters.

Plug it all

Plugging all trap sewers you have in your house using check valves actually prevent any floodwater from going into the drains of your house. During emergencies, using large stoppers or corks is also a good idea to plug tubs and sinks.

Check and build

Checking with the local codes of buildings is a good idea as this will let you know whether it is okay to build walls for floods and to be used as barriers around your own house in order to prevent any floodwater from getting in your premises.

Waterproof it all

In order to protect walls of basements, seal them using waterproof compounds so that floodwaters would be unable to get in through any cracks.

Have a radio and some supplies

As much as possible, keep a radio that is operated by batteries if in case the power goes off.

Having supplies such as canned goods is a must as well as first aid kits. Do not forget a can opener of course.

All in all, preparation is always the best defense against floods.

?Be Prepared – How to Pack with Kids In Tow

Heading out for your latest vacation with small children is always a difficult prospect. Kids simply seem to require so much more gear than adults do when traveling. In the long run, though, taking a vacation with your children can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. It is a moment in time that you and your children will look back on with a measure of fondness forever. In order to make your vacation go a bit more smoothly, though, there are several tips to keep in mind while you are packing.

First, be sure to pack a bag of things specifically designed to help combat the boredom your children will inevitably experience during the course of your vacation. Whether you will be traveling by car, plane, or ship, at some point during the journey, and possibly at some point during the vacation itself, your children will become uninterested. If you haven’t packed well, that lack of interest in the situation will become misbehavior, which can ruin any great vacation. Your boredom-buster kit can include any number of things to help keep your kids interested in the vacation itself. Try adding favorite action figures or dolls to the kit. This will give your child a taste of home.

If you have younger children, don’t forget to have plastic or stuffed animals that they play with on a regular basis. Age appropriate books for your child to look at or for the two of you to read together are always a nice addition to the boredom-buster kit. Some drawing supplies might also be important. Some companies make markers that only draw on a specific kind of paper, which may help keep your child’s travel clothes clean. It may also keep your child from drawing on the airline tray table, the walls of the hotel room, or the backseat of the car.

If you have older children, handheld video games might be a good investment. Many companies now make various learning video games to keep them away from the violence most video games hold sacred. If you intend to take a long journey in the car, most public libraries offer books or old radio shows on tape or compact disc. Try popping those in the car for everyone to listen. You could also consider spending the money to purchase a portable DVD player. Many of these have price tags at fewer than two hundred dollars, and they may buy you hours of peace in the cramped quarters of a moving vehicle. They may also buy you a quiet naptime once you reach your destination. You could also consider getting portable CD players and headphones for each child. These start at less than fifteen dollars, and you won’t have any fights about which radio station to listen to if you pack music for each kid.

In addition to creating your boredom buster kit, you need to remember to pack clothing options carefully. Small children tend to go through two or more outfits each day, and it is important to pack accordingly. If you plan to be gone more than one week, work a laundromat somewhere into your schedule. It will save you some suitcase room. As you begin to pack clothing for your children, think carefully about your destination. Think about the kinds of things you will be doing while on vacation. For example, if you intend to spend seven days at a large amusement park, the chances are good that your child needs comfortable shoes and climate appropriate clothing. Be sure to throw in an extra outfit in case the climate changes. Even if you plan to be in Texas in the middle of July, a cold evening or two could creep up, leaving your children with a need for a light jacket. If you plan to do any swimming, pack the appropriate gear. Similarly, if you intend to go camping, your outfit selection may differ from a traditional vacation.

Clothing and toys are just the beginning of your lessons on how to pack with your children. You also need to remember to bring along a few essential items. Sunscreen is a must for any time of the year. Even if you intend to go skiing in the middle of the winter, your child will need sunscreen to protect his or her cheeks. If you intend to visit the beach in the middle of the summer, you should probably take the gallon-sized jug of waterproof sunscreen.

A first aid kit is also a must when you are toting kids with you. Children always get hurt at some point. The chances are good that it isn’t serious, but if you don’t have a band-aid and a bit of antibiotic ointment on hand, you may have to send someone to find a drug store. Likewise, kids tend to get sick more often than adults do. Packing some acetaminophen and other necessary over-the-counter remedies is a good idea for the whole family, not just your small children. Check with your doctor about good over-the-counter medications to include in your first aid kit.

Take a bit of extra time to pack your bags, and your vacation with Junior will truly be a success.

Some medications are cheap for pets

A guide to emergency care and first aid for you pets is something any pet owner should have in their possession. In the initial decision to treat or not treat ketoacidosis, many vets have to take into consideration what the owner can afford due to the expensive medications required. You might puncture the ear drum of your pet when applying almost all medications to their ears, so be quite careful. Buying medicines from a reputable online company is your best bet if the internet is your only option for now. Find an online pharmacy with a low discount price on your prescribed pet medication with the help of your own vet.

At the cost savings for some common prescription medications, pets can be really expensive to take care of this day and age. A pet requires many other forms of care depending on the animal, ranging from vaccinations, supplements, emergency medication, flea and tic prevention, de-worming, and so very much more. Your pet must take all the medicine prescribed for it to be fully effective and not cause other problems in the long run. Contact the vet directly and ask him to fax or phone in the prescription for your own pet medication for improved accuracy of the prescription. Many people have sick pets and it is not uncommon for them to buy pet medications for their recovery today.

After administering pet medication give your pet a treat to show them they were good for allowing you to give them the medicine and that rewards might follow this in the future. Find an appropriate veterinarian that specializes in your type of pet or the disease that afflicts your pet for the best medication. As soon as the pet medication is prescribed make sure you ask all your very questions with the doctor while you have the chance in front of the vet.

Find an online pet medication site when you don’t have a local pet hospital nearby; it could save your pet’s life. Avoid paying for drugs that are needed urgently, because there is a longer wait time for the deliverance. Get your pet used to the car, by taking short trips around the block, so when it is time to go to the doctor your pet will not be nervous. Dog arthritis medicine is something that is common for several species of dogs once they entertain older ages. A pet requires much more care than a car or machine; they are living, breathing beings just like people. You would see how pet medications could grow into a huge business, with all the conditions and diseases your pets must contend with in this day and age.

Snowboarding At It’s Best

Snowboarding by itself is a fun and safe sport which is basically a cross between skiing and skateboarding. Using a single large snowboard, enthusiasts rush down slopes through the snow. The feel and balance is quite different from regular skiing since navigation through the snow is achieved on only a single board, and unlike skateboarding, snowboarders let gravity do all the work of propulsion for them as they slide down the slopes.

Naturally, once snowboarding caught on in popularity, it was only a matter of time before the most highly skilled practitioners decided to tackle harder and harder slopes, finding ones with more dangerous terrain, or natural formations that allowed for stunts like turnpipes in skateboarding.

Thus was born extreme snowboarding. Extreme snowboarding involves extremely tough slopes set at 45 degree angles or less, making runs down these slopes extremely fast and difficult to control. Unlike gentle civilian snowboarding slopes, extreme slopes will also usually have outcroppings of rock jutting out from the snow as part of the challenge.

This is not a fact to be taken lightly, and not a sport to be taken by amateurs. Given the speeds at which an extreme snowboarder can go, even a casual splash on the slope an lead to broken limbs or a broken neck from impact with the snow alone. When you factor in the presence of actual rock formations, you can see how this sport is one that is not undertaken lightly.

Extreme snowboarder slopes actually dont have any of the usual conveniences of a civilian ski or snowboard slope. There are no trans for uphill transport, no waystations for shelter and relaxation. It is wilderness all the way. More often than not, during extreme snowboard competitions, the boarders actually ride airlifts to get to the top of the course.

Like some extreme sports, snowboarding enthusiasts have even merged their styles with that of other extreme sports. For example, some snowboarders actually pack parachute gliders on their backs These extreme sportsmen take a snowboard and do a run all the way down a slope which ends at a sheer-drop cliff, and once they fly off the cliff, trigger the chutes and hang glide all the rest of the way down the mountainside. If that isn’t an adrenaline rush, I don’t know what is!

Some of the more popular and challenging snowboard slopes are located in New Zealand and Alaska. In the Alaskan slopes, there are 4000 foot vertical run areas with gullies, ditches, and wind lips, as well as trees to contend with on the slope. There is also an area with natural half-pipe formations and rolls where freestyle exhibitions similar to that done for skateboarding can be performed.

The New Zealand slopes are more challenging for those who enjoy absolute speed runs. With one of the steepest and sharpest slopes around, navigating the New Zealand snowboarding slopes requires perfect balance and control to keep from spilling.

Given the risks of snowboarding, every professional competing extreme snowboarder is required to learn first aid specializing in cold weather injury treatment, as well as survival, search, and rescue techniques for winter and mountainous terrain. On their runs, they are also required to bring avalanche transceivers for emergency pickups in case of an avalanche or if they go off course and get lost.

Like most extreme sports, extreme snowboarding is most definitely not for the weak or the faint of heart. But for those who are up to the challenge, it offers one of the most exciting blood rushes around.

Where to buy your paintball gadgets?

Paintball is fast becoming one of the world’s most exciting and popular sports. In fact, paintball has risen from being known as just a pastime or a hobby, to a favorite sport among men and women in over 40 countries.

Those who have tried playing paintball to pass away their time have become smitten by the excitement of the sport. More and more people are forming their paintball squads and clamoring for more paintball items.

If you are among those who have learned to love paintball as a sport, then you need to check out the various paintball stores for basic and new paintball products.

Various shops selling paintball accessories have sprouted in the marketplace like mushrooms, due to the high demand for them. Blame it on the rising popularity of paintball. Visiting paintball stores is not only fun but it will give you a firsthand feel and view of the products you are buying.

There also are many online paintball stores that are selling paintball products for prices lower than those offered by actual paintball shops. By doing your shopping online, you do not only save on cost but also time. Just let your fingers do the walking and the talking.

Some online stores have more than five thousand paintball items that can be shipped within 24 hours. However, online stores will only offer free shipping of products when the items purchased amount to more than %150. Online stores also accept payments via credit cards like Master Card or American Express, cash, or through personal or cashier’s checks.

Among the important paintball accessories that a player should possess, aside from the paintball guns and pellets of course, are the following:

1. Paintball mask – Never play paintball without the mask! Paintball experts are as one in saying that new players should buy the mask before the gun because it is a safety tool.

2. Batteries – Spare batteries for your guns will always be handy in case your gun needs them. Why waste a good opportunity to fire upon your enemy just because of a battery failure.

3. Oil for the paintball gun – This tool may not top the list of items being carried by paintball players but believe me; it makes your gun more efficient and keeps it in tip-top shape.

4. Gun manual – This is necessary when you have to take your gun apart and then put it back together again. With a gun manual, you can never go wrong.

5. First aid kits – While paintball is not a particularly dangerous sport, carrying a first aid kit in one’s pockets will not hurt – in fact, it is necessary for the unexpected bumps and bruises that occur while playing the game.

When buying your paintball items either from the actual or online paintball stores, make sure that you have reviewed their product return policy as you might no longer be able to return certain products depending on the paintball store’s policy.

?Top Three Reasons Why Aromatherapy is the “In” Thing

Aromatherapy is more described as the therapeutic use of essential oils and scents to enhance one’s emotional and physical well being. There are all kinds of essential oils used in aromatherapy and each scent can do something different for you. If you are new to essential oils and aromatherapy, here are three reasons why you should explore essential oils and why they are the “in” thing.

Uses in the home:

Essential oils can be used in and around the home and are good for the environment: Essential oils are derived from organic material such as flowers, leaves, seeds, bark, leaves and plants. For this reason, all essential oils are natural, unlike harsh chemicals you often find in common household cleaners. You can actually use essential oils to help you clean and disinfect your home. It is hard to believe, but only a few drops of oils such as tea tree oil, along with distilled water can clean and disinfect your home better than any cleaner you can buy at the store. You are getting a very effective cleaner that is safer and cheaper than what you usually clean with. You can use essential oils to clean areas such as the bathrooms and the kitchen counter and the oil will kill germs. In addition, the oils smell nice and it works well.

If you are not interested in cleaning with essential oils, then another very popular use for aromatherapy in the home is using them as air fresheners. You can use one type of oil along, or experiment with various scents and mix them to create your very own fragrance that will enliven your home. Add a few drops to water and add to a heat source such as a tart burned or in a small saucepan on the stove. You can also purchase special essential oil burners that are specifically for this use.

First Aid:

Another reason why aromatherapy is so popular these days is because essential oils are excellent ways to treat minor skin irritations, scrapes, bruises, bumps and even muscle aches. You can use diluted essential oils for massaging your tired and aching muscles and not only will the oils seep into your skin and help you relax, but the scents will help you feel de-stressed. Tea tree oil is an excellent example of an oil that can be used in first aid. Rub a little of this useful essential oil on skin irritations, rashes, acne and even scrapes and you will find that it will help disinfect the area and promote prompt healing. If you suffer from allergies or other respiratory ailments, you can use certain essential oils to help clear the nasal passages. Peppermint is one such oil that works well for this use. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to warm water and soak a washcloth to make a compress. This will help relieve headaches and may even help bring down the swelling from falls or bruises.

Relaxes the Senses:

The other reason why aromatherapy is so popular these days is because the essential oils, when used the right way, can help you relax your body and promote spiritual healing. It is no secret that essential oils have been used for years for this primary purpose. Many holistic yoga and meditation centers also use essential oils in aromatherapy during sessions to help people feel at ease with their lives. With people so busy and stressed these days, it is nice to know that essential oils can help you feel better in a safe and natural way.

Aromatherapy is very popular for a variety of reasons. If you are new to essential oils, go do your local health food center and experiment with the different scents. You will be certain to find a few that you love.
