The sales of the new iPod video

The iPods have been a market hit since their launching in 2001. With the appearance of the new iPod video on the market in 2005, the iPod became even more popular, as it achieved high umbers in sales and an increased interest from the public. The sales of the iPod video were, in general, better than the expectations. Considering the fact that the new product brought, indeed, something new to the market, which was never tested before and the customers were used to the idea that iPod stands for music and, in a smaller part, it stands for photos, the sales surprised the producers just like the product surprised the customers and the users.

Basically, the iPod video present 2 variants of the device: the 30 GB model and the 60 GB one, which both play QVGA H. 264 videos. Over the last holiday season, the sales were very high, as people seamed to be more interested in purchasing such an item before taking the summer vacation. Due to this fact, the new iPod video turned out to be a great choice of spending the time during the holiday. In fact, the last holiday season brought a 30 %PRCTG% increase of the sales, which is a consistent amount. Even more, the new iPod video turned out to be an excellent Christmas present, as the sales indicate the fact that the sales of the iPods increased significantly before this important religious holiday. Another sales hit in the history of the iPods was the Apple iPod + hp, which was launched in the year 2004. In the first months of 2006, Apple reported sales of 565 million dollars, which was the highest number in the company?s history. In fact, Apple managed to ship 6, 16 million iPods during the first months of 2005, meaning a 66 %PRCTG% increase over the same period of time in 2004.

The new range of iPods are supposed to be even more improved and have a new variety of features and new accessories, which will increase even more the popularity of these products. After the famous exposition called Macworld, which was held on the 10th of January 2006, the official speakers reported sales over 42 million dollars, which included a part of 14 million dollars, gained in the first quarter of the year. With even more expectations in sales for the future, the engineer team of Apple is focusing even now in producing a sixth generation of even more optimized iPods.

Till the appearance on the market of the iPod video, the best selling product of the iPod series was the iPod nano, which had great results since the launching. The studies and researches show the fact that most of the part of the consumers want and easy personalization of their video content, meaning quality and inexpensive solutions that satisfy their needs. IPod video brought, at its launching, a new set of features that were about to change the perception that people had about this small, yet powerful device. With a memory that could now include a play list of 15, 000 songs, 25, 000 pictures and up to 150 of hours full with videos and movies, the new iPod was an innovative new product and the market embraced its originality and new and exiting features.

Christmas ornament

Christmas is the most popular, and hopefully, peaceful time of the year. Decorations twinkle and sparkle almost anywhere you go. Houses are lit up in the nighttime with outside lights reflecting off of the snow and the Christmas trees clearly seen in front windows. It’s a wonderful time of the year.

I have always had trouble finding presents for everyone who is on my list. Since I work in a small office, I like to give my coworkers something small. I cannot afford to get everyone on my list what they may ideally be dreaming off for Christmas, but I try. Last year, I decided I was going to be creative and make something for some people. I saw a picture of a beautiful Christmas ornament in a craft magazine that I thought perhaps I could make. At least, I could make a Christmas ornament that would be unique to everyone. The supplies were relatively cheap. I went to a local craft store and bought paints and brushes. The Christmas balls that I choose were plain white or silver. I also bought some colored glitters that I may find a use for.

Getting an idea for a unique Christmas ornament for everyone was the most difficult part. Some people were less predictable so I would choose something generic for them. But the best part was, once I started, the ideas just flowed. The first Christmas ornament I did was an attempt at making snowflakes. It didn’t turn out that way, but ended up looking very modern and creative. I smiled afterwards. Though it took a definite turn away from what I had planned, I loved it. I followed that one with a few more Christmas ornaments. A coworker had recently gotten married, so I decided that would be a theme for her Christmas ornament. I put the year and two interlocking hearts on it. I even managed to put some glitter on the hearts. It turned out wonderfully. For a coworker who recently had a baby, I also put the year on her Christmas ornament and her son’s name. I attempted to draw a rattle, but when it turned out horribly, I changed it to something more artsy. It looked great. I made a Christmas ornament or several for my family members. I couldn’t wait to give them to everyone.

I gave the designated Christmas ornament to my coworkers a week before Christmas. That way, they could enjoy them before the holiday. Each one of them absolutely loved their Christmas ornament and the fact that it was handmade. My family members were the same way. Since I had personalized them, each person had a Christmas ornament that was unique only to them. My Christmas present idea had been a huge success.

Say goodbye to your old-school cameras. Film is a thing of the past. In this day and age, many of us are taking advantage of something they call the “digital camera.” This little electronic wonder allows us simply to upload our pictures as opposed to spending money on film development.

Uploading pictures on our computers has become rather second nature. We now send family photos back and fourth with the push of a button. This is wonderful for friends and relatives who wish to see current events in our families. Now they are literally able to see them minutes after we take them. That’s hard to compete with.

When my wife and I had our daughter, we took pictures literally every other day. This was all good and great for preserving those moments and creating memories that we enjoy today, however, one major problem arose; we were not too good at keeping up with the film development. I would assume that this is, or was a common problem amongst most people. Now, with the power of our digital ELF, we take photos, plug the camera into our laptops and simply upload pictures to our computers. We then have the power to send them anywhere we please.

While some may be anticipating certain downfalls, there really aren’t any when you upload pictures from your digital camera. You can easily purchase a photo printer, which will save you money in the long run. These babies allow you to print copies of any photo you take, and as many as you want. An additional benefit is copying your photos to a disk. All pictures can be placed on a CD for future use, or simply saved on your computer‘s hard drive. This is a tad better than the old, flimsy negatives I must say.

A key feature when considering digital cameras is pixels. It is prudent to do your homework before purchasing. Many cameras can be found at your local electronics stores and online. When you upload pictures, you’ll soon realize the convenience over traditional film. Email is a primary tool when dealing with photos today. If you have an email address, you’ve probably sent or received pics through it before. This sure makes it easy to keep in touch with friends and family. No more waiting for a card in the mail in order to see new pictures of birthday parties or Christmas events. When you upload pictures, the convenience is incomparable.

I am a cat lover. I share my home with two very special felines. My husband often complains that I devote a great deal more attention and time to the cats than I do to him. When I was growing up we had pet cats. I used them as my dolls; dressing them up in doll clothes and having them drink milk out of bottles.

I am also a lover of Christmas. I love everything there is about the season from the decorating, shopping entertaining and cooking. This year as I was looking through my holiday decorations I realized that my two passions have not been lost on my friends and family members. I had never noticed the number of decorations that I had that have cat Christmas ornament themes. This is quite surprising since I have never bought a cat Christmas ornament for myself.

As I was going through the decorations I started to put aside the decorations that had cats on them. I had a cat Christmas ornament that was dressed like Santa Claus. There was another cat Christmas ornament that had a kitty in a holiday stocking and I had two that had cats dressed up like angels. There were fifteen other ornaments that were various size cats with bows around their necks. I knew that my first cat Christmas ornament was from my mother when I was a young girl, but I had no idea that they had multiplied over the years. The funny thing to me is that my husband and I raise and train hunting dogs. We have been doing this since we first were married. I found one dog Christmas ornament and that one I had purchased for my husband.

I mentioned this to my husband when he returned home from work. I showed him the number of cat decorations that I had come across. He was surprised by the number also. He said that if someone would have asked him he would have remembered one cat Christmas ornament and that is the one that my mother had given to me when I was a child. He knows that this is a special ornament to me because it is from my childhood. I told him that maybe we should go with an all cat theme for Christmas this year, we could get special outfits for the cats and I could dress them up like I did when I was a little girl. We could have tuna for Christmas dinner. His only response was to say that he hoped I was joking. I was joking about the tuna, but I do think I am going to see if I can find a nice outfit for each cat for the holidays.

Christmas Tree Themes: Are They Really Worth It?

Do you celebrate Christmas? If you do, chances are you will celebrate the holidays with a Christmas tree. Each year, the majority of Americans purchase a Christmas tree for their homes. Whether that tree is real or an artificial one, it is often decorated with Christmas decorations. Different individuals decorate their Christmas trees in different ways. Many choose to theme their Christmas trees. If you are planning on decorating your Christmas tree this year, you may be wondering whether or not it is really worth it to decorate your Christmas tree with a theme. In all honesty, it depends.

Before you can start to determine whether or not it would be worth it for you to decorate your Christmas tree with a theme, it is important to note that different individuals have different views on themes. There are many Christmas tree owners that choose to theme their Christmas trees by having everything a particular color. For instance, there are some who choose to have a white Christmas tree with gold and red decorations. All of the decorations typically match. While many take this simple approach, there are others who take it a step further. There are some parents who tend to focus their Christmas tree theme around a cartoon character or something else that their kids enjoy. The decorations used are all typically associated in one way or another.

The type of theme that you would like to use, if you choose to use one, will help to determine whether or not you should go through the hassle of decorating your Christmas tree with a particular theme. For example, it was mentioned above that many just theme their Christmas trees with a particular set of colors. While this can still be difficult to do, it is one of the easier ways to have a Christmas tree theme, especially if the colors are traditional holiday colors. Anything different and you may spend days or even weeks searching for Christmas tree decorations; Christmas tree decorations that may be more than you are willing to pay for. So, if you are interested in decorating your Christmas tree with a theme, but without having to go through all of the hassle, you are advised to take the simplest approach.

If you do decide to decorate your Christmas tree with a particular theme, you may want to think about shopping for your Christmas tree decorations early. Around the months of October and November, the majority of individuals start shopping for Christmas decorations. When this occurs, the selection of decorations available drastically decreases. When you want to theme your Christmas tree, there is a good chance that you will want certain types of Christmas tree decorations, such as lights and ornaments. If you want to make sure that you get exactly the Christmas tree decorations that you were looking for, you are advised to start purchasing Christmas decorations as soon as they become available or as soon as you make the decision do decorate your Christmas tree a certain way.

If you are unable to find the Christmas tree decorations that you were looking for in one of your local retail stores, you are advised to give online shopping some thought. In fact, if you are planning on having a somewhat unique Christmas tree theme, you will find it easier to find what you are looking for online. When searching for themed Christmas tree decorations online, you will want to perform a standard internet search. For instance, if you were planning on having the theme of your Christmas tree be a popular cartoon character or a well-known Christmas symbol, such as an angel, you will want to tailor your search to exactly what you are looking for.

In addition to everything that was mentioned above, it is also important to examine the time that it will take to theme a Christmas tree. When it comes to themed Christmas trees, most tree owners want to get their Christmas trees exactly as they envisioned it in their minds. Unfortunately, that can take a lot of time and experimenting. It does not mean that you shouldn?t theme your Christmas tree this year, it just means that you many want to examine whether or not you really have the time to do so.

38. Christmas Carols
The tradition of caroling and Christmas carols is believed to have
originated in England when wandering musicians would go from town to town and
visit castles and other homes of the rich to give impromptu performances. But
there also is the belief that singing carols at Christmas likely came from the
group of angels, shepherds and Wise Men who visited Jesus at his birth, because
they worshiped the holy child, sang and proclaim praises unto Him. And after
their visit, they continued their proclamations in the street.
The origin of the word carol however, is thought to come from the word
‘caroller,’ which is a French word that describes a circle dance with singers.
And from the twelfth through the fourteenth centuries, the carol was highly
popular as a dance song. The use of carols then evolved to festivals where they
were sung as processional songs and others were used as part of religious
mystery plays in Europe. Some traditional qualities of a carol was that the
words expressed should celebrate a topic that was seasonal, have verses and a
chorus arranged alternately and have music that was suitable for dancing.
Although many of the carols that are now popular at Christmas time are very old,
there are others from earlier times that didn’t survive. During the 17th century
when the Protestants, led by Oliver Cromwell were in power in England, many
Christmas caros were banned and consequently some were never heard again. The
Christmas carols that survived the Protestant Reformation period didn’t become
very popular again until the mid-19th century to the start of the 20th century.
Many of the Christmas carols that were banned, and early Christmas carols in
general, had lyrics that expressed joyous and merry themes instead of the
serious somber words found in church hymns. During the time when carols were
banned, some composers and musicians wrote non-religious songs that had highly
varied choral music, which they called carols, for Christmas. After Christmas
carols again became popular, many of those songs were re-arranged with new
Christian lyrics and used by the church.
Making changes to Christmas carols continues in a different way today with pop
artistes singing the carols to different tunes and melodies to give them a style
that characterizes the particular artiste. Having Christmas carols with tunes of
contemporary or popular music of today means that they are also more likely to
survive because younger listeners will be interested in hearing any music that
is done by their favorite or other popular singers.
The popularity of Christmas carols in the United States increased in the 19th
century, as it did in England, because many of the traditions related to
Christmas came to the United States from England. The United States and England
also have closely linked religious observances, which also accounts for the
popularity and similarity of Christmas carols that are enjoyed in both
countries.
Today, radio stations are the first to play Christmas carols, usually starting
toward mid-November, to signal the coming season. At the start of December when
the Christmas season official begins, mall stores and other retail
establishments will begin to pipe Christmas carols and songs through their
places of business.
The singing of carols at churches, schools, and by groups performing at malls
usually will be a common sight starting in early to mid-December. Carol singing
as a part of Nativity plays and concerts at churches and schools is usually in
full swing by mid-December as the Christmas season gets into high gear and the
countdown to Christmas Day begins.
Whether it’s the traditional tune or popular makeovers of Christmas carols that
you enjoy, listening to them is part of an old Christmas tradition. And any
version of a Christmas carol that is played will serve the purpose of putting
you in a festive mood for Christmas that you may even want to dance, just like
the music of original carols was meant to do.

5 Steps To Search Engine Optimization
Jim Trivolette

The world of search engine optimization has changed a lot over the past couple years. Matter of fact it has changed a lot in the past few months. Five years ago no one designed their sites to be search engine friendly. Webmasters who did know a little bit about search engine optimization may have added some keywords into the meta tags but this was the extent of SEO. Now days without proper search engine optimization your web site will not get found by the general public. This will be the death of your e-business and you if you rely solely on the internet for your income. Search engine optimization will not happen to your web site over night. Instead it can be a long hard process. Given enough time you will see the fruits come to bare from the effort you put into it. Here are 5 things to do to help get you the rankings you need to survive:

1. Outbound linking- place outbound links to some sites that have authority and that are relevant to the data you have. You do not have to send a link to a main competitor but look for a site that fits your general category. For example if you run a website selling shoes why not link to a site that sales women?s purses. This way you get the relevant material (Fashion) without sending your potential customer to your main competition.

2. Inbound links- Get sites that have a higher or same PR as your self (download the Google toolbar to see what PR sites are). In search engine optimization who you link with becomes your neighborhood and just like real life you want to live in the best neighborhood possible. Have your good Inbound links pointing to interior pages of your site. By pointing to interior pages you are saying to the search engines that my site is deep with content, I am relevant. By placing all of your links to your home page you are saying sorry my site is very shallow and the only relevant content I have can be found on my home page, this is bad.

3. I know Google and some other search engines do not or are not supposed to use meta tags. You know what, who cares. Use your meta tags to the best of your abilities. Google may not want them but there are other search engines out there that do. For each of the search engine that do use meta tags when they index you guess what? There is a good link to your website from a site with authority which Google will see. And they say meta tags don?t help with Google.

4. Alt Tags- Yes, the alt tag. Whether you have one picture on your site or many, the alt tag is a must in search engine optimization. Search engines can not see the pictures you have on your site (They may in the near future however as the are starting to read .PDF files and the like). So if you have pictures on your site and little content, say goodbye to getting any rankings. In general you want 3 times the amount or more content then you have in pictures but, if you have to have your pictures then use the alt tag on them. The alt tag is the one way you can make search engines get the idea about your pictures. Use a keyword in the description of each alt tag.

5. Content- Inbound/outbound links are essential to getting ranked but, content is still King of the internet. You need to make use of all the information in your industry. Content is the best way to get good solid search engine optimization. When copywriting your content make sure you use the proper amount of keywords. Make sure you are using correct grammar as search engines will know if you are just trying to do some keyword stuffing. Writing keyword rich, search engine optimized content can be very tough. Some require out sourcing it to specialized copywriters.

These are only the first 5 steps of good search engine optimization. There are many other things that need to be done to get you the best rankings possible but this is a good start and you will not obtain high rankings without these steps.

The last minute problem of needing a care giver for children happens to every parent on the planet at some point. It doesn’t matter how well the schedule is set, there are occasion where you’ll need care for them. There are a lot of benefits of drop in daycare centers, but knowing the rules will help you plan advance for care at the last minute. It’s always best to have in place a back up because life just happens.

Drop in daycare centers are becoming very popular for over worked and harried parents. If you don’t have a backup you, could find yourself locked out of a drop in service because of a lot factors. For example, most daycare drop in centers requires that kids must be pre registered to use in their drop in services, and this means paperwork. Also, you’ll need to know that not all drop in centers for children have the same hours. Typically, drop in care is from around eight in the morning to about ten at night. Some don’t offer care on the weekends because employees do have a personal life. If services are in place it cuts off at before midnight, and daycare will charge more if the children are left after midnight because it runs into the next day.

There are the traditional daycare centers that offer drop off services, and some that are strictly drop in nature. You’ll need to check out in advance the quality of the center that you leave your children with. Any center should hold the same credentials that meet your states guidelines and rules that apply to regular daycare centers. Look for things such as do the employees have training in CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), does it have a staff that’s trained in care for all ages, and are there FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) criminal checks done on all employed at the center, not just care givers. For your children’s personal safety other factors are important, such as does the center follow the regulations for employee per child ratios of care.

Fees are another area that can be very flexible, and depend a lot on where you live in the U.S. The larger metropolitan areas such as will have larger costs associated with drop in daycare, and less populated areas will have costs run from six to twelve dollars per hour of care. Because it’s specialized care on a part time basis all costs will be higher than a typical daycare for daytime workers. In the drop in daycare service industry you’ll find that other fees will apply too. Extra costs for food or diaper use are often charged, and many drop in services required a standardized fee of up to %100.00 for registration. Caring for your children on special holidays like Christmas with very late hours will be another cost that will be higher than a regular daycare center.

Even though there are some negative aspects to drop in services, your children will get a lot benefits, as well as you. Quality drop off services will have lots of planned activities that can allow children to join at a moments notice. You’ll find lots of craft activities based around the age and abilities of children and you’ll see, if weather permits it, outside group activities that will encourage interactive play and physical exercise, too. Drop in daycare centers will have themes for daytime and nighttime that will cater to children of all ages. Some have activities like stargazing with simple telescopes or binoculars, and others might have a few hours of looking at bugs, or catching butterflies with nets. You child will have a lot of fun, and will want to come back again and again.

Drop in services for daycare at anytime is a lifesaver for parents. If you carefully check out the care centers in your area they can also be a lot of fun for the children too. It’s not hard to find one, you’ll just need to be prepared and look for a quality center. It’s true you’ll have to pay a few fees, and you’ll even have to go and pick them up, but it’s no different than taking home a traditional babysitter and it’s a lot safer too. With a drop in service it’ll be easy too because you’re prepared for anything.

The King Of Queens premiered in Fall 1998 as a spin-off series related to the popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. Based on the life of a bit character from that show, The King Of Queens follows the life of IPS delivery man Doug Heffernan (Kevin James) and his wife Carrie (Leah Remini). Much like its predecessor, the series makes use of similar marriage humor material as the basis for its premise. Throw in the hilarious Jerry Stiller as the live-in father-in-law, and The King Of Queens is one of the funniest sitcoms currently on the air…

The King of Queens (Season 2) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “Queasy Rider” in which Doug buys a motorcycle, clearly violating Carrie’s stated wishes. As part of a plan to get Doug to sell the motorcycle, Carrie takes up smoking, telling Doug that she’ll give up cigarettes when he gives up the bike. But when Doug sells the bike, Carrie’s guilt causes her to buy it back, resulting in some unintended consequences? Other notable episodes from Season 2 include “Parent Trapped” in which Deacon and his wife Kelly ask Doug and Carrie to be the godparents of their newborn (they decline, but then regret doing so), and “Net Prophets” in which Doug and Carrie invest their Christmas bonus in the stock of an online company they know little about?

Below is a list of episodes included on the King of Queens (Season 2) DVD:

Christmas Shopping for Your Husband

You might think that Christmas shopping for your husband would be the easiest part of your Christmas shopping each year. You might mistakenly think this is going to be such an easy chore because you love your husband and know him really well but in actuality; Christmas shopping for your husband is sometimes the most difficult part of the holiday season. This can happen for a number of reasons. First of all you may feel added stress to find a perfect gift for your husband. While you may be willing to settle for gifts which are merely acceptable for other members on your Christmas list, you are likely to feel stressed to search for items which are spectacular for really close relatives such as your husband. If you have been married to y our husband for a number of years you may also have difficulty Christmas shopping for him because you may feel like you have already bought him everything. This article will offer some useful tips for Christmas shopping for your husband which should make the process easier.

Considering your husbands interests and hobbies is one way to make Christmas shopping for him easier. Paying attention to these interests and hobbies can give you a better idea of what type of items would make great Christmas gifts for him. For example, if he recently started golfing and is still renting golf clubs you could consider purchasing a golf bag for him and giving him a gift certificate to purchase a set of golf clubs to fill the bag. Or if he recently started running, you might consider items which would make his run more enjoyable. You might purchase an MP3 player which is designed to be worn on an armband while running or a speed and distance monitor which tracks his mileage and his pace throughout his workout.

Another useful tip for Christmas shopping for your husband is to not be afraid to repeat gifts you have given him the past. You might normally consider purchasing a bottle of cologne for him for Christmas and then decide against it because you realize you gave him a bottle of cologne for Christmas two years ago. This is very common because many people think it is boring to give the same gift more than once but it is not always a bad idea. This is especially in the case of items which can be used up such as cologne, scented soaps and candles. It makes sense to gives these gifts repeatedly because your husband uses them often and runs out each year. However, even items such as clothing can be given as repeat gifts. It is acceptable to give your husband items such as ties, sweaters or pants on more than one occasion because clothing goes out of style and likewise your husband?s taste may change. The tie which he loved a couple of years ago may not be one of his favorites anymore. However, if you gave him a trendy new tie for Christmas this year it is likely to be a gift which is much appreciated.

Finally, if you simply cannot decide what to get your husband for Christmas, it is acceptable to ask him what he wants. Have him make a list of several items he wants and plan on purchasing a few items from the list as well as a few surprises.
